2019 Summer Camp: July 1 – July 26, 2019
The Hyde Park Refugee Project Summer Enrichment Camp provides a summer camp experience for fun and English language learning for children ages 4-14. Summer camp is a fun way for children to continue learning and practicing their English throughout their summer vacation.
This year’s camp will take place from July 1st – July 26th, Mondays through Fridays, 9am-3pm, and will focus on learning through games, music, art, and sports programs, as well as field trips to local cultural spots, including the museums, ice cream and parks.

We are looking for responsible and enthusiastic teenagers and adults to lead our camp through three full/part-time position opportunities: Counselor Aid, Counselor, and Intern. Individuals in each of these positions will play a vital role in the execution of our camp. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill in our online application.

2/2/19: Literacy Works Workshop held a hands-on workshop at Augustana Lutheran Church. Participants had the opportunity to learn and practice some of the basics of ABE and ESL lesson planning.
